The Music Ministry at Mount Calvary

There are currently 4 ensembles in the Mount Calvary music ministry:

 

·         Chancel Choir

This ensemble is the adult choir that performs twice a month on non-communion Sundays. We rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00 pm

 

·         Celebration Ringers

This ensemble is the main handbell choir of our parish. We perform at least once a month and we rehearse on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm.

 

·         Youth in Christ

This ensemble is the youth choir of our parish. We perform at least once a month and we rehearse from 5:00-6:00 pm on Sunday evenings. The age range for this group for middle and high school age.

 

·         Joyful Sounds/Alleluia Ringers

This ensemble is the children’s choir and children’s handbell choir of the parish. We perform at least once a month and we rehearse from 6:00-7:30 on Thursday evenings. The age range for this group is 1^st- 6^th grade.

 

No experience is necessary for these ensembles.

 

In addition to our ensembles, Mr. Scutti offers a Music Reading Class which takes place a half hour before the Chancel Choir rehearsal form 7:00-7:30 on Wednesday evenings. Classes do not meet during Advent or Lent.
