The Rev. Greg Truwe, Associate Pastor
Greetings in the name of Jesus!Families today are quite diverse. You might have memories of summer vacations taken with mom and dad and your siblings; long hours spent in the car as you traveled hundreds of miles to your destination. Or, you might have memories that include grandparents that had, or continue to have, a significant role in your upbringing. Or maybe you were adopted by parents who couldn’t have children of their own. Perhaps your family had to find ways to “get by,” and you have memories of those years.
Regardless of what type of family you come from, the Bible reminds us that we have a heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally. “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God” (1 John 3:1). Through the life-giving waters of Baptism he folds us into his family of faith, and we become his adopted sons and daughters. He chose us to become his children!
If you are without a church home I invite you to visit us for worship and Bible study. I trust that you will find us to be a warm and welcoming congregation that grows together as the family of God as we gather together around the gifts of Word and Sacrament.
May you know the love of God the Father as he has revealed it through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ!
With eyes on the Cross!
